Katie Andersen LSW – MSW Intern

Katie Meagher, LSW (pronounced like “Mar”), was born & raised in Idaho. She grew up with a passion for doing anything outdoors & for helping people. When she was a child, Katie used to stick cotton balls & tape onto her stuffed animals in hopes of bandaging them to help them ‘feel better’, and in her adult years, spent several years studying & practicing nursing and pre-medical. However, Katie felt more at home with Social Work, and personally felt as though she could use it as a more well rounded approach towards bettering individuals and advocating for them within a societal structure. She then graduated with a 3.9 GPA from Boise State University with her Bachelors degree in social work in 2015 and has been working in the mental health field ever since. Katie is a Case manager, CBRS worker, and Skills-&-Development Group Therapy facilitator. Katie is also currently working on re-entering school for her masters degree in social work for her LMSW. She hopes to continue down the pathway of studying mental health for many years to come.
