Ava LoMagro (LPC Intern)

My name is Ava LoMagro. I am a master’s student in the Department of Counseling at Idaho State University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently an intern working towards becoming a licensed professional counselor.

My goal is to help clients discover meaning in their life. I have always been drawn to understanding people, and helping them overcome difficulties they are going through. I am an empathetic person, and people have told me they always felt safe opening up to me. Connecting with people is very natural to me, and one of the biggest reasons I was originally drawn to psychology.

Fun Facts:

I was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Indiana! I love spending time with my family, especially when I get to visit my extended family in Wisconsin. I swam competitively from when I was five until I was 20, and I still enjoy anything water related. My favorite thing to do is water ski. I love to watch movies and tv shows in my down time!
