Christopher Broadnax (CBRS/CM; LPC Intern)
As an emerging counselor, I approach therapy through a person-centered lens grounded in the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe that genuine therapeutic change occurs within an atmosphere of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. My goal is to create a collaborative and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences with openness and curiosity. Guided by ACT’s focus on mindfulness, values clarification, and psychological flexibility, I encourage clients to acknowledge their inner experiences while taking committed actions aligned with their personal values. Through this integrative approach, I strive to empower individuals to move toward meaningful and purpose-driven living, even in the presence of life’s inevitable challenges.
My personal history is diverse in previous vocations and lived experiences. My interests outside of the counseling practice and education involve participation in outdoor activities to include hiking, cycling and soccer.
